Day 1 - Arrive Kigali
On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred by road to the Kigali Serena Hotel.
The 5 star Kigali Serena features newly-renovated rooms decorated in typically pan-African style with all the comforts you would expect.

Day 2 - Kigali/Akagera National Park
Today you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Akagera National Park North Gate, where you will be picked up by the Magashi Shuttle. Enjoy a short game drive on the way to the lodge. Arrive in time for lunch.
There are six luxury tents that are perched on the shore of Lake Rwanyakazinga.
Enjoy your afternoon activities at the lodge.

Day 3 - Akagera National Park
Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Akagera National Park. Watch elephants submerge in Lake Rwanyakazinga. Go in search of lions, leopards, and black rhinos.

Day 4 - Akagera National Park/Kigali

Transfer by road to Kigali and check in to the Kigali Serena Hotel.
Depart on a half-day Kigali City Tour and visit to the Genocide Memorial. This capital city of Rwanda sprawls across numerous hills, ridges, and valleys, and has a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene. The Kigali Genocide Memorial, a permanent memorial for victims of the genocide of 1994.

Day 5 - Kigali/Volcanoes National Park
Transfer by road to Volcanoes National Park and Virunga Lodge. The lodge is perched high on a ridge with the finest views in Africa, overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes and the Musanze valley to the west and Lake Bulera and Ruhondo to the east.
Each of the luxurious rooms has a private terrace to enjoy the sunrise over the dramatic landscape of mountains and lakes, a fireplace, and shower room with a double vanity.

Day 6 - Volcanoes National Park
Depart on a Gorilla Tracking adventure. This is a physically demanding hike that rewards you with the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery. It is said that this is one of the most profound experiences in the world, once the gorillas are located.

Day 7 - Volcanoes National Park/Nyungwe National Park
Depart on a Golden Monkey trek today. View this beautifully colored primate, which is endemic to the area and lives in groups of up to 80 individuals in the park’s bamboo forest.
Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park and the luxury Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel, a resort located close to Lake Kivu and Nyungwe National Park in the western region of Rwanda. It has a beautiful view of the southern lake and surrounding islands, with a lake view swimming pool and a luxurious health spa.

Day 8 - Nyungwe National Park
Depart on a Chimp Trek. With an early start, your expert guide will lead you into the heart of the jungle, on the trail of chimpanzees. Very soon you will spot chimpanzees gazing down from the trees or catapulting off through the canopy. Every trek is different, and the jungle’s charismatic chimpanzees are full of surprises.

Day 9 - Nyungwe National Park/Kigali
Today you can take a canopy walk, depending on your departure flight time.
Suspended above a ravine in the lush rainforest, the canopy walkway along a suspension bridge, provides an exhilarating perspective on the ancient treetops and wildlife.
Transfer to Kigali to connect with your departure flight. (B)
