Day 1 - Arrive Johannesburg
Upon arrival at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, a security approved representative will meet you at the aircraft and escort and assist you through customs and immigration. You will be accompanied into the arrival hall where a Lion World Travel Representative will meet and transfer you to the 5-star Saxon Hotel and Spa.
The Saxon became home to Nelson Mandela after he was released from prison. It was during this time that South Africa's former President used the serene setting of the hotel to edit his autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom."

Day 2 - Johannesburg/Maun/Selinda Reserve
Transfer to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Maun and connect with your light aircraft transfer to Zarafa Camp. The camp has four raised tented villas to take advantage of views over the lagoon.
The Selinda Reserve is most noted for its large elephant population especially during the dry winter months. The area has year-round populations of antelope, zebra, cheetah, wild dog and lion.

Day 3 - Zarafa Camp
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 Land Rovers allowing each guest a 'window' seat. Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you would not see during the day.

Day 4 - Zarafa Camp
Enjoy another day exploring the Selinda Reserve on game drives and bush walks.

Day 5 - Selinda Reserve/Makgadikgadi
Transfer by light aircraft to Jack’s Camp, one of the most iconic camps in Southern Africa. Jack's Camp is an oasis of 1940's style and comfort in the middle of Botswana's Kalahari Desert. Stay in Bedouin-style tents with en-suite bathrooms each with an indoor and private outdoor shower. There is a also an iconic tea tent and a sleek pool pavillion.
The Makgadikgadi is full of elusive species and desert-adapted animals.

Day 6 - Makgadikgadi
On guided game drives, you have the opportunity to explore the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans to see rare desert species and enjoy birding walks to seek migratory and resident bird species. There are also nature and anthropology walks to search for ancient stone tools.
Stop for sunset "sundowners' on the pans and surreal astronomy evenings with the guides.

Day 7 - Makgadikgadi
Enjoy a day of wildlife viewing. A visit to the Makgadikgadi means getting up close and personal with the local meerkat families, with the opportunity to meet these social mongooses, giving unique insights into how Kalahari meerkats band together to face the challenges of this unique environment.
Spend time walking and interacting with a group of Zu/'hoasi' Bushmen and gain insight into their ancient culture.
During the green season, experience the spectacular migration of zebra and wildebeest - the second biggest in Africa.

Day 8 - Makgadikgadi/Okavango Delta
Take a light aircraft transfer to the Okavango Delta. On arrival at the camp airstrip, you will be met and transferred to the spectacular Xigera Safari Lodge.
Xigera (“Kee-jera”) Safari Lodge has 12 air conditioned and solar powered suites suspended above the forest floor, with a deck that offers uninterrupted views over the floodplains and passing wildlife.
Depart on a game viewing activity in the Okavango Delta, where you might encounter lions, leopards, elephants, crocodiles and more than 450 bird species.

Day 9 - Okavango Delta

Day 11 - Okavango/Maun/Johannesburg
Depart from your luxury wildlife experience as you transfer by light aircraft to Maun Airport to connect with your regional flight to Johannesburg. (B)
