Day 1 - Depart Canada
Depart Toronto for New York or Washington, D.C. where you will be under your own arrangements for the night.
Day 2 - Depart USA
Make your way to the airport to check in for your flight to Johannesburg.
Depart New York (JFK) or Washington, D.C. (Dulles) on your international South African Airways flight to Cape Town via Johannesburg. From the moment you board your South African Airways flight you feel the warm and welcoming African hospitality in every detail of the world class service you are about to experience.
Day 3 - Johannesburg/Cape Town
On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport's Central Terminal Building, collect your luggage and then clear Customs and Immigration. Re-check your bags for your domestic flight to Cape Town where you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to the award-winning 5-star Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa.

Enjoy a day at leisure in the fascinating city of Cape Town. The Twelve Apostles Hotel offers a complimentary scheduled shuttle to and from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront between 08:00am and 08:00pm. Sightseeing tours can be pre-arranged. Please ask your Africa Specialist for information.

Day 5 - Cape Town
Leisure day to explore on your own. Perhaps ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for stunning views over the city or tour the colorful Malay Quarter, or take the ferry to Robben Island, a poignant trip to see where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were incarcerated.

Day 6 - Cape Town
Spend your last day in Cape Town doing some last minute shopping or visit one of the many places of interest. There are historic and cultural sites, world-class museums and bustling markets, inviting beaches and lush gardens to visit, as well as great restaurants and wonderful shopping.

Day 7 - Cape Town/Skukuza
After an early breakfast you will be transferred from your hotel to Cape Town Airport in time for your scheduled flight to Skukuza where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your lodge in the greater Kruger National Park. Depending on your trip date, you will stay at either Narina or Tinga Lodge.
Lion Sands Kruger National Park Narina Lodge is a luxurious African safari lodge located within a private concession, bordering the Kruger National Park and overlooking the game-rich Sabie River. Narina Lodge is perched amongst a canopy of ancient trees, offering a luxurious treehouse style experience, where all of the suites overlook the river and guests experience a feeling of ‘oneness’ with nature and their landscape.

With 5000 hectares of wild bush in this private concession within the world-renowned Kruger National Park, you can go exploring off-road and follow the footsteps of the leopard, track down a herd of elephant or simply wait for them to come to you.
This afternoon you will take part in an open vehicle game drive.

Day 8 - Lion Sands Private Game Reserve
While on safari, activities include early morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers with the opportunity to view Big Five – Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. The Sabie River has the highest recorded density of leopards in Africa, and one of the highest predator densities. The Sabie River is also said to have the richest biodiversity of any South African river, with many endangered and rare species (mammals, birds, reptiles and plants) being found in the area.
After a morning game drive return to the lodge, relax around the swimming pool or take a siesta to make up for the early morning wake-up call.
In the late afternoon you will be taken on another safari where you will have the opportunity to see the gorgeous sunset and the nocturnal animals.

Day 9 - Lion Sands Private Game Reserve
Another day to participate in morning and afternoon game drives as well as bush walks in this wildlife paradise.

Day 10 - Skukuza/Johannesburg
Depart on an early morning game drive to track the animals that may have eluded you so far, followed by breakfast. After a transfer to Skukuza you will fly to Johannesburg.
On arrival in Johannesburg you will be transferred to the Michelangelo Hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 11 - Johannesburg/Victoria Falls
After breakfast this morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Johannesburg Airport for your South African Airways flight to Victoria Falls, arriving at Victoria Falls River Lodge, where you will spend two nights including breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy two game activities – either a morning or afternoon game drive and either a sunrise or sunset river cruise per day.
Nestled amongst the trees on the peaceful banks of the mighty Zambezi River, Victoria Falls River Lodge is perfectly located to offer guests a vast array of activities. After a day full of excitement, guests can relax, refresh and recharge in the river-side lounge, take a stroll around the lodge or unwind alongside the pool.
The main lodge has an open plan design and has been positioned just back from the river – in view of the elephants’ natural route. Sit back and relax under the shade of the thatched roof, as the elephants graze along the river line. Each tent has been tastefully decorated in earthy tones with a comfortable seating area and indoor and outdoor showers as well as a private viewing deck where one can sit and watch the hippos wallowing.
Victoria Falls
Each day you will enjoy a game activity – either morning or afternoon game drive in the Zambezi National Park.
Head out in a game-viewer to explore the 150,000 acres that make up the Zambezi National Park. You can also enjoy bird watching in the birdwatchers paradise with more than 400 species having been recorded in the area.
You will also have access to the Tree Hide, bird watching on Kandahar Island and High Tea.

Day 12 - Victoria Falls
After breakfast enjoy a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven natural wonders of the world. This tour takes you through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the Cataracts, Livingstone's statue and a wide variety of birds and plants.
You have the option of a sunrise or sunset river cruise. Watch from the comfort of Victoria Falls River Lodge’s private river cruiser. In the early morning as the world awakes and the sun’s first rays skip and dance across the shimmering surface of the might Zambezi.
Or in the evening sit back and let the gentle ebb and flow of the Zambezi lull and relax you. Join in on Mother Nature’s Happiest Hour by sipping on a sun-downer while watching her creatures big and small coming to the water’s edge to lap at its liquid life under the molten skies. After returning to the hotel, enjoy an inspiring and unique Southern African meal served in the distinctive thatched riverside dining area.

Day 13 - Victoria Falls/Johannesburg/USA
After breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. (B)

Day 14 - USA/Toronto
On arrival in New York or Washington, you will connect on to your flight back to Toronto. Arrive home with a lifetime of memories!
