The experience contributes to ending poverty in all its forms, everywhere with a stay at TAASA Lodge whose mission statement is to employ and empower the members of their local community. TAASA is located in the Loliando region of Tanzania near the remote Maasai Village of Ololosokwan. As a company, 70% of their staff are hired from this local village.
Day 1 - Kilimanjaro/Arusha
On arrival this evening at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. located on the outskirts of Arusha, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations.
All chalets have an en-suite bathroom. mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, safes, and hairdryers.

Day 2 - Tarangire
Fly to the Tarangire National Park, one of the most exciting parks in the country. Take a scenic drive takes you to Tarangire Treetops, located on the eastern border of Tarangire National Park.

Day 3 - Tarangire
Morning and afternoon safaris bring you close to the large concentrations of elephant. The river attracts an abundance of wildlife, and you may find leopard resting in a shady trees. When not out on game drives enjoy a bush walk, relax and enjoy the camp.

Day 4 - Tarangire/Ngorongoro
Drive to Gibbs Farm for lunch. Overlooking the coffee fields and surrounded by terraced flower gardens and ancient trees, a visit to Gibb’s Farm provides the opportunity to experience nature first-hand.
After lunch continue to TNS Ngorongoro Rim Lodge located on the Eastern Crater Rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Rooms face the Ngorongoro Crater and have Wi-Fi access, ceiling fan, indoor shower, bathtub, hair dryer and in room safe, mosquito net and a balcony facing the Ngorongoro Crater. This lodge is Eco-friendly and uses solar power.

Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend into the ‘8th Wonder of the World’, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a freshwater lake, and a glorious variety of birdlife. Here too are all the members of the ‘Big Five’ - Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard - as well as a large cast of plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, then continue with afternoon game viewing. Within this enormous natural bowl, is the most densely packed concentration of wildlife in Africa.

Day 6 - Serengeti National Park
Fly to the Serengeti and transfer to your camp which has been carefully chosen for the best possibility of witnessing the Great Migration.
Between January to March & December
Sanctuary Kichakani Serengeti Camp The camp overlooks plains where game are seen all year round and the migrating wildebeest and zebra congregate between December and March. Spacious open-plan tents, with large private verandas and personal attendants to cater your every need.
Between April and May
Fly to the Serengeti Pioneer Camp located in South Central Serengeti and ideally situated for terrific access to the annual migration. Tents with amazing views are designed to evoke the best of an era long-gone. Evocative room interiors combined with exemplary service and exceptional game viewing opportunities make this a top choice.
Between June and July
Asanja Grumeti is a luxury tented camp located in the Western corridor of the Serengeti and plays host to the most amazing wildlife specatacle in East Africa. Every year, thousands of Wildebeest take a plunge to cross the waters of the Grumeti River.
Between August and November
The 5-star TAASA Lodge is in a private concession in the Serengeti National Park, ensuring that you will see wildlife as nature intended and without the masses of tourists. The spacious en-suite tents offer stunning views.

Day 7 - Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives provide amazing opportunities to photograph resident wildlife and go in search of the Great Migration and the predators that accompany them. Whether it is their birthing season on the plains, or a crossing of the Grumeti or Mara Rivers, if the timing is right, you may be lucky enough to witness this amazing spectacle.

Day 8 - Serengeti National Park
Another day of thrilling game viewing, finishing off with relaxing sundowners as you watch the sun set over the vast Serengeti, the classic end to a day on safari.
Optional: You can book a balloon safari (additional cost). You will have an early wakeup call and transfer to the launch site where you will experience the expanse of the Serengeti from above on a magical balloon safari.
Or you can take a guided game/nature walk or just take the time to relax at the lodge.
Depart in the afternoon for game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The bush comes alive at night and is a very different experience than during the day.
Return to the lodge for sundowners followed by a boma dinner.

Day 9 - Serengeti/Kilimajaro/Depart
Bid Africa goodbye as you fly to Kilimanjaro for your scheduled flight. (B)
