Day 1 - Arrive Kilimanjaro
You will be met on arrival and transferred to Rivertrees Country Inn. Located just outside of Arusha, Rivertrees looks out toward Mt Kilimanjaro.
This charming country estate was once an old coffee farm, the grounds are a natural extension of Mt Meru’s sloping foothills and offer a sanctuary for the birds and wildlife indigenous to the area.
Elegant cottages are dotted along the river. The restaurant serves tasty meals using garden ingredients and the best of the region’s locally grown coffees.

Day 2 - Arusha/Tarangire National Park
An early transfer to Arusha Airport for your light aircraft flight. On arrival you will be met by a camp guide and taken on a game drive in the remote wilderness of Tarangire National Park.
Wildlife viewing and bird watching game drives within the central Serengeti are offered twice daily. Experienced guides encourage guests to see and experience the Serengeti through their eyes, sharing a world of large and small wonders that only they truly know and understand.

Day 3 - Tarangire National Park
Depart on morning and afternoon game drives with your camp guide in an open vehicle. Famed for its massive elephant herds, the Tarangire is known for its true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs.
You can take a guided walking safari to explore the remarkable wilderness on foot with an armed guide to follow the tracks and smell the herds on the breeze. The local bush guides have a wealth of insightful experience, and they will enthral you with bush-wise facts, wildlife know-how, local customs and incredible stories of the wilderness.

Day 4 - Tarangire/Ngorongoro
Transfer to the main gate to meet your private transfer for your onward travel to Mto wa Mbu. Enjoy a cultural walking exploration of farms and villages and a traditional lunch with a local women's co-operative.
Game drives take place daily and you can walk through the farms and villages of the crater highlands.
The lodge offers an extensive range of cultural delights to absorb; traditional spa treatments, highlands hiking, Tinga Tinga painting lessons, Swahili cooking lessons, African drumming, customary dancing, the ancient art of yoga and more.

Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater
Depart on an early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing.
Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world' the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes, and forests of ‘the land that time forgot', dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro/Central Serengeti
Transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft transfer to the Central Serengeti. On arrival you will be met by your guide and taken in an open vehicle game drive in the central and eastern plains of Serengeti National Park.

Day 7 - Central Serengeti
Depart on daily game drives with your guide in an open vehicle, with drives in the central and eastern plains of Serengeti National Park.

Day 8 - Central Serengeti
Today you can book the optional balloon safari (extra charge), an exciting way of experiencing the wilderness. Rise above the Serengeti’s breathtaking landscape in a hot air balloon and take in the beauty from a new perspective. See the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning. Balloon safaris are followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush, a fitting end to a memorable experience.

Day 9 - Central Serengeti
Explore the intriguing wilderness on foot at dawn or dusk with an armed guide. You will have the opportunity to follow tracks and hear the crunch of fauna underfoot. Your walking guide has a wealth of insightful experience and offers fascinating anecdotes, bush facts, and incredible stories of life in the wilderness.

Day 10 - Serengeti/Kilimanjaro
Depart on a game drive on your way to the airstrip to connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time to check in to your ongoing departure flight. (B)
